I'm looking for a fellow female partner to train with during these midweek runs as the days get shorter and darker. I usually run at 5 AM, or after work at 6:30 PM. I vary my training pace between a 8.5 min mile and a 9.5 min mile, and am following Hal Higdon's Novice training program. Anybody want to wake up early to run?

Hi,

I'm training for a half marathon in October. I am into the 4th week of the training program. I' m looking for a partner/partners that are familiar with routes in Sandy Hook, Newtown, Brookfield, Bethel and Danbury vicinities. My utlimate goal for this marathon is to improve my speed and endurance on hills. I need some help in this area, but overall I think I'm a strong runner and would most certainly try to keep up. To give you an idea of my pace my average mile in a half marathon that I ran last year was 9 min 13 secs. However, I will be honest, until starting this training program I took some "time off". :-)

I work out of town, so I'm looking for someone to run 2-3 miles with (or less to begin with) in either am (5-6) or PM (6:30-?).

Hey all,

So I saw your group and noticed that you guys talk pretty regularly on discussions and all that. I'm looking for a running partner for long runs on the weekends, mostly Saturdays. I'm training for the Marine Corps Marathon and am getting my weekend mileage up to the point where I've never run it before. The most I've ever ran is 10 miles and that was the Cherry Blossom race. I'm worried about getting bored as I'm hitting miles above that and figured the easiest way to solve it would be to have someone with me.

A little background, my long runs are typically 10-11 minutes/mile. I don't mind running mid morning or late afternoon. Let me know if any of you are interested. At the very least, it would be great to get some coping techniques maybe some of you have tried because I don't think my iPod is going to cut it! Good luck hitting the pavement

Hi,

Anyone doing or looking for others to help motivate for early morning weekday runs ~6-6:30am? It's easier for me to do it with someone else, or I tend to put off till later or skip altogether. Just a beginner's pace really - 10 min on avg, can do 9 min when running with others. Looking for myself and my wife might be interested on the off days too.

Hi! I took up running in May 2007, and I love it. For never having run in my life, and starting at age 38 (now 39), I progressed rather quickly. In the past year, I've run 3 5K's, one 10-miler, and 2 half-marathons. I don't know anyone in my area that runs, and I would really love to find people to run with. I run at least a 9-minute mile or under. I am also very interested in hill training...it's not easy finding hills in flat southern NJ! :) Monica
