Hi there,

I'm coming to Thunder Bay in August. I am employed with the military and love running.

I'm looking for a running partner - I don't set any land speed records but have ran Boston a few times, actually I have 30 marathons to my credit, which includes 6 Bostons.

I'm looking for a female preferably (always find too much competition with my guy running partners) who has marathon experience or wants to train to run one.

Hoping to hear from someone.

Hey there. I've used this site a few times to create a route and it's awesome! I'm getting back into the Navy in March and I really need to get my run time down. The Navy fitness test requires that you run 1.5 miles and I need to do it in 12:53! Early last week I did it in 17:30 and I just did it this morning in 15:13, so I'm getting better! So if you want to check out my run it's the only one on my profile. It's nice and flat and is pretty quite. Runs through my neighborhood, past an elementary school where kids can make fun of you, and past a church to make you feel guilty. So a little bit of everything!

Let me know if anyone is interested in joining me! I'm newly unemployed so anytime during the day is good for me.

Hi all!!

I have entered to run in a few organized races this summer and would love to have a running partner for those events as well.

I am currently running 3+ miles per day, and have focused on 5k runs to date. After this weekend I am going to begin to up my mileage and set my sights on a 10k. ! :)

Hello, runners...my friends and running-partners Kirsten and Stephanie will be running the Ave of the Giants Marathon in Humboldt County on Sunday, May 6.

I'm sad to say that I won't be able to run it with them, nor will I be able to come up there to cheer them on.

It'll be Stephani'es first Marathon, and when they ran 20 miles last Sunday in training, they almost didn't make it, save for a really helpful donut-break on the side of the road at mile 18.

Now I was thinking about how absolutely fabulous it would be if I could find someone who maybe is going up there to cheer for their friends, and who wouldn't mind hanging out around mile 18 with a Posterboard ("Go Kirsten, go Steph" or something a little more creative then that) and a couple of Donuts for them!!

:-)

I know this is a long shot, but I thought I'd try and see if I don't find someone...

Hi,

I am a 25 year old female training for my first half marathon in mid-October. 9:30 give or take average pace. I ran a 10 mile race in April in a little under 97 minutes and a 10K in May in 56:50. I am looking for a running partner a couple times a week to push me a little and also for some company on longer runs. Usually run after work around 6:30, but willing to wake up early and run before work.

I'm looking for a training partner. My close friend and former running partner is (unfortunately) undergoing back surgery and is down for the count for a while. I thought I would be fine to self motivate and run on my own, but so far, not so good. In 2008 I ran my first marathon. Before that I had several runs, including a half. I also ran a 1/2 in 2008, but my longest run since Nov. 08 has been about 5 miles. I would like to get back into running more regularly and would like a buddy to do it with. I up for training for a specific race, or just getting together for long(er) runs on Saturday mornings, or whatever. Anyone interested? I should state, I am by no means the fastest runner alive and average 11-11:30 min. miles, sometimes 10 minutes on a good day. Looking for someone who is about my pace, or who can push me slightly, but won't be annoyed with my slowness! :)

I am putting together a team for the Rainier-to-Pacific Relay on July 17-18 and need 4 more team members. This is a relay of 11 people where you each run 3 legs of a 150+ mile race (each leg is about 4-6 miles) that starts at Mt Rainier and ends in a resort town on the Pacfic Ocean. Race takes roughly 24 hours to finish so there are lots of fun perks like sleeping in a van.

Folks on the team so far range from intermediate level to complete novices. We are not looking to be among top finishers-- for us this is all about meeting folks and having a good time running. We welcome all levels and especially any folks who may have run this race before.

Thanks,

Hello everyone!!

With just under 2 weeks until registration for the Army 10 Miler, I decided to create a group for anyone from Massachusetts looking to run the race. I hope that it will be a useful tool to help motivate and pass on training ideas. Take a look here.

If you are not familiar with the ATM, it's a terrific run in D.C. on Oct. 4th. It starts at the Pentagon and goes around the DC area. This years field is 30,000 and there are tons of supports on the route. Registration opens April 1st.

You can find more info at www.armytenmiler.com

Personally I think the 10 Miler is the perfect distance. It's a bit more challenging then the 5K and marathons just destroy me.

See you on the road.

Adrian
