Can someone please tell me how to delete one of "My Goals"?

I signed up for a monthly milage challenge, but my doc has told me to lay off running for two weeks to deal with a PF flare up.  I know I won't reach the goal, and it's kinda depressing to see it there, taunting me.

      Any help would be appreciated.

     Thanks!

I couldn't figure out how to delete a mistake I made in the "my goals".

I guess my goal was to weigh 5lbs instead of losing it. LOL  it's still sitting there too.

It will disappear when it expires. It's doc's orders stopping you from reaching the goal, not a personal choice. Let it go. Rather than taunting you any more, what positive can it represent? A reminder to train properly? To run sound technically? Something else? Find the positive in it and all will be fine. Then next time you're up for the challenge if you start to lag a bit, remember the taunt and then get out there and get your run dun.

If it is a challenge you have imbarked upon and need to quit for any reason or another, just simply select "my goals," then, on the far right click "Your Preferences," then scroll to the bottom and choose "Quit." That should get rid of your challenge.

You have to select the goal then you'll see a selection for "your preferences" you can quit it there.  I signed up for one to weight 112lbs... I'm a 225lb guy I just signed up for one that said lose weight not lose to 112 lbs... they really need to up the user friendliness of this site...

Yes, I am having the same problem.  In my haste to get going, I joined a challenge that had already expired!  I joined the "Run 50 miles in 30 Days"  It excepted my request even though the challenge was over.  There is no "Quit" button, or "Preferences" button on a challenge that has expired!  Now it shows that I completeted 0% of this challenge....a failure!!!      I would really, really like to get this removed from "My Goals"  Can anyone help.

Open the goal, click edit, click details, click delete at the bottom of the form.

aea:  I tried that. There is no botton for "edit" . This is a goal that was over before I even signed up.  It shows that it is 0% done, but I didn't even get a chance to do any of it.  I signed up and it was over, that fast.  It is now shown as a "Past Goal"  Maybe I am not seeing the "edit botton"  Can you please try again to help?   Thanks!!!

http://www.mapmyrun.com/my_goals then click on a goal, is there a "Edit / Manage this Goal" link?

hey everyone, here is the problem,,,sorry dont have the solution. "past goals" dont have the Your Preferences link.but the "normal" or "regular" ones have Your Preferences, which lets delete such goal but only if its an upcoming goal or a goal thats still active.if a goal is added and has already past no delete option.if you fail a goal also,no delete option.

aea:   No there is not a "Edit /Manage this Goal or a Your Preferences" Button.   If the goal was active like Stefano says, then I could delete it, "Quit" it.  But the problem is the goal is not active.  It never was. I joined like I said and the goal had expired before I even got started. It looks like I failed but I didn't.  I was not even given the chance as it was over before I got started.  Even the work out I entered before I signed up wasn't counted as the goal had expired before that.

I think the only way for it to "Go away" is if you guys at mapmyfitness can do it for me. I really, really would like for it to be wiped off my "prefect goal record" If you can help I will be forever in you debt!! Laughing
