I'm looking for a training partner. My close friend and former running partner is (unfortunately) undergoing back surgery and is down for the count for a while. I thought I would be fine to self motivate and run on my own, but so far, not so good. In 2008 I ran my first marathon. Before that I had several runs, including a half. I also ran a 1/2 in 2008, but my longest run since Nov. 08 has been about 5 miles. I would like to get back into running more regularly and would like a buddy to do it with. I up for training for a specific race, or just getting together for long(er) runs on Saturday mornings, or whatever. Anyone interested? I should state, I am by no means the fastest runner alive and average 11-11:30 min. miles, sometimes 10 minutes on a good day. Looking for someone who is about my pace, or who can push me slightly, but won't be annoyed with my slowness! :)
