Time to check in folks. Seems like either work or life is getting in the way, or something else is going on.

Just noticed I held the lead last week, and so far am doing the same. With my puny training calendar, I realized something must be going on. So, how's everyone doing? Anyone sick? Out of town? Other?

Just checking in to make sure everyone is alright!

I'm here, but you already know that. Thanks for the tip about the balloons. Don't laugh, but I am so doing that. I think next week I will try to beat you on the leader board. Take it easy on me; I'm an old lady. hehehehe

I'm back. I was out of town last week (should be in the pit of despair). I didn't take my bike to make more "family time". We went to San Diego and the weather couldn't have been better for riding. I almost borrowed my step father's huffy to log a few miles even though my helmet was at home.

It's been a tough week to get back on the bike since being off for so long. I am slowly getting my legs back. Lost, if you keep it up, you may just take the lead for the month! Patty, let's make him work for it!

Well I still keep up on running but fell off tracking my mileage here since it takes forever to load the map.  Just completed 2 more marathons (South Bend, IN and Anchorage, AL).  We took a cruise in Alaska so that was another reason for my absence.  Good news is that my brother is selling me his Tri bike and my other brother is selling me his indoor trainer (for the Winter months) so I should be finally up and riding again on something a little more respectable than what I currently have.

Jaird, Welcome back! It does seem to take forever to load the maps on this site, especially if they have any miles plotted on them. Glad to see you're still around. Congrats on the new bike as well. What kind is it?

Actually I don't know yet.  We were just discussing it last weekend and I haven't had a chance to look at it yet.

Welcome back buddy! Glad you didn't leave us!

I agree, the mapping here has gone downhill. I was uploading tracks from my Garmin, but it can take up to 20mins and I'm not waiting around that long. I'm just simply logging the info, using the garmin mapper, and carrying on.

Personally, seems like we went to a subscription service, and some of the functionality wen't downhill.

Oh, and congrats on the marathons and tri bike. That's awesome. I'm still getting excited about my first half coming up in Ohio!

How strange that all of us would disappear at once. I pretty much lost track of where June went. Business or personal travel or bad weather have all conspired to keep me off the bike or even spinning. I have a couple rides I have yet to log, but June was pretty much a lost cause for me. Dang, and I was doing so well. Right now I am in Florida on vacation with family - Cape San Blas in the Gulf. Will be back riding next week, and have a century planned for June 11th. Steve

Still breathing but barely. After a puny 3 miler I'm feel like I've lost something. Nevertheless I laced up and got out there. Probably better for my health than watching TV and drinking a Guiness. Feels pretty darn good too.

Yes Lost; work and life have pulled me into thier tractor beam. Not to mention a huge dose of non-motivation. Good to see everyone is still chugging!

Floridan, don't discount the Guinness. It's low calorie and I look at it as "carb loading"!

We all get in slumps form time to time. The important thing is to get back out there and have fun!

Guinness is God's way of telling us she loves us and she wants us to be happy. Are you happy? Good. Time to take a run and appreciate your health. Followed by a nice pint, of course. Cheers.

Now that's the kind of motivation I'm talking about!! Got back out there. I'm hiking Half Dome the end of August for the first time. I hope I'm up to it because even these short runs have been tough. It's probably just be the heat working against my lack of training but I get to mile two and I want to poop out. I know that I can go a lot further.

Finally updated my route today, and it was a huge pain in the ass until I upgraded to Firefox 3.5.  Editing much faster now and without crashing.

I''m down in Richmond Virgina now, closing in on Florida rapidly.

Also closing in on ehirning who it seems has taken the first half of August off!

August has started as a crazy & hectic month which made it difficult to ride. I'm going to really have to pour it on to keep Steve at a comfortable distance! Just joined a Saturday ride group which will help I think. Good to hear from you again Steve.
