Been running in Brooks GTS8 with no problems at all.  Just changed to the GTS9.  after first run (3mile intervals) developed dreadful shinsplints.  Will give them a rest until it clears up and retry again perhaps on treadmill.

Anyone else experienced this?.  Not good at £80 a pair!

I know a lot of people who have complained about the Brooks GTS9 after being loyal Brooks GTS6-GTS8 buyers.  There are many differences between the two running shoes  which is causing a lot of knees, lower back, ankles and shin pains.

Main difference is that the Brooks GTS 9  is a wider and longer shoe which is causing all the pain. If you have a more narrow foot you should maybe try the Asics 2140 or Mizuno Wave Inspire 5.

    Hope that helps,

    Elaine
