When I run, after about 5 minutes my tongue and throat start to hurt, and my mouth starts to fill up with saliva. It feels like my salivary glands are overproducing saliva thus making my tongue hurt, but I've had both my doctor and my dentist look at it and say things look fine. First I want to know if anybody else knows what the heck is going on (both my doctor and my dentist looked at me like I had frogs coming out my ears, it was clear they didn't really belive me), and if there is a way for me to either 1. temporarly slow saliva output for about 30 min 2. make the achyness go away. My mom says it happens to her too.

I've never been able to run becaus of this, and it is driving me crazy! Please help if you can.

Does your jaw/ears/neck ache as well?  And does this happen more in colder weather?  I sort of get the same thing, and it helps a lot to wear a toque or headband that covers my ears.  It sounds crazy, but it might be worth a try.
