Feature Requests: UK GPS Options

Been using an iPhone for a while now, but the 'one ride then save' setup is a bit cumbersome. So, with a 2 week holiday and limited net access coming up, I've been looking at GPS handhelds Do any of them allow you to save a few rides/walks etc. to upload later? I was looking at the Garmin 300, 400 or 550-would these offer similar facilities as an iPhone,  or would they allow the 'saving' of a weeks worth before needing to upload?
