Garmin Edge Users (Cycling): crs file doesn't work

Anyone know why after creating a map, downloading it to the courses file in an Edge 705, then trying to "do course", the Edge doesn't follow route, but instead keeps telling me to make u turn whenever possible. Can't get it to follow route as plotted???
