been using the free version for 3 months and v. happy. the free version would reliably track my rides and runs, even if i locked the iphone to save battery. some comments on the new + version (downloaded 10/14)
(i) loses the data if you lock the phone
(ii) does not track correctly. today i did a short 3 mile run to the local pool. the previous app correctly measures 3 mi, the new app 7.6 mi. The route followed is identical! If I can run 7.6 mi in 22 min, NY marathon here I come.
(iii) it would be great if I could stop the data logging, exit the app and then upload later. i frequently ride in the mountain where there is no 3G coverage. would be good to be able to accurately record these rides.
(iv) would be cool if i could adjust the rate at which GPS locations are taken. this way i can perhaps control how much power is being used and save battery life for rides > 4hr.
