Well at lest they do here in the UAE.

Can ANYONE enlighten me as to where (if anywhere) I can put my hands on a Garmin 405cx 305 - whatever. I live in Abu Dhabi UAE but am in Dubai twice a week as well.

So far I have made phonecalls to retail stores- have covered, without exageration, 100's of kilometres hunting spurious information on where they might be stocked.

3 emails so far to the local distributors listed on the garmin website - no response.

Please, if anyone knows could they respond?

My Suunto T3 has finally died. It's been a great watch, but there's NO suunto action here in the desert.

    Thanks in advance.

Amazon.com should be able to ship to the UAE.

They will but there are reliability issues here that make postage a last resort for anything more expensive than a pencil.

    LOL

Could be ignorance on my part but Amazon ships to the Middle East.  Don't know if that safer or different than mailing it.  It may be worth looking into the shipping policies of Amazon.

    Yes they do..

but the mechanics of receiving stuff here is reality vs theory.

Fed-ex works, but costs... nonetheless I have found the watches here (thanks for your input on that too)

    :-)
