Hi my name is mandy, i'm 31 from cambridge, ont. i just started running again since the birth of my kids, I never really ran as far as some of the members, mainly just 20 minutes in a treadmill, but I would like to train to run 5k and 10k runs.
I love this site, I've been reading posts and getting motivated, I've run on my treadmill, and today I went outside to run, almost 3k !!! yeah for me..
Since your realtively new, and have been running inside, I wholeheartedly encourage you to check out the mapping functions of this site. I've used several sites, and this one has really turned out to be my mainstay. Very motivating to be able to look at a given day's run, and see how that fits into your training.
I used to drive by Cambridge on my way to Michigan from NY (and viceversa). I really miss the Niagara Escarpment, where my wife and I would go to rock climb (Kelso). Nice area! I saw an awesome display of the aurora borealis near you one night several years ago as I was driving through. Just stopped my truck on the shoulder of the road, got out, and gazed.
msubobcats here: been running a while, but new here. After getting hammered with snow and ice I lost about three weeks or so. Todays run was pretty fair. Yesterdays was a struggle. Thats how it goes. Our temps are in the 20s to LOW 30s with mid teens coming in the next couple of days.
I really like all the features here.....Later all and good running.
Hello All, Hi Mandy. This is my first post on this site. I had a good week for running.. I ran only 4.5 miles today, but ran 12 last Sunday and plan to do the same tomorrow (Sunday). I'm trying to get back into marathon running condition.
I live in Texas now, but lived in New England. Although it is lot warmer here, it was cold this last week. It was around 40 F.
I remember running outside in sub-zero temperature when living in N.E. You can do it, and you get used to it. I guess I can say that now, since I don't have to do it too much.
aloha all my name is Josh and im from pullman washington and lately its been really cold out like since november so i decided to move some of my runs inside on those really cold days. It seems as though once it gets bellow 10 degrees its just not any fun regardless of how warm i dress anyway i am proud to say i finally figured out the whole treadmill thing and todays run was a spectacular 7 miles while i looked out at those snow covered hills staying inside enjoying the warm.
Hello people of mapmyrun.com. Im still really new to the site and figuring all it's great features. This is by far my new favorite site. Today wasn't a bad day at all for running in richmond, va. I did a 3.5 mile residential run today and felt a lot better than i thought i would. It's just those first few minutes of the run are the worse.
First time out in a about a month for me and about 2 months before that since the Dublin Marathon. Hopefully today will be teh start of some serious training, not just running though, swimming, cycling nd some weights.
hi, i'm not new to the site but new to posting here. i was on coolrunning.com but they sold out to active.com which i'm not so crazy about. this site is so much better. my run today was great. my partner took my keys with her to work so i caught a ride with a friend there and ran back home...mostly uphill. oddly enough though my time was really good. i love running days like this!
