$35. to $40. for a technical shirt? At the most, run a race & get one for the $15 to $25 entry free, nes pas??? How about going to Chez Targe't (Target(.
If you're puting shirts on your site for that much REGARDLESS OF MARKET PRICE, then why would continue to look for other products? As far as marketing goes, it appears to me that you're to pick off people who don't care about price at all. That's fine, but they way things are out there today w/ discretionary income I'd guess you have a lot of room to increase gross sales hits on your site.
Remember the 11th Commandment "Thou shalt not pay retail!!"
Ditto on Chez Target. I just bought some there that work great with the same fabrics as the name brand and only spent $13 for an XXL ! I wear them under my cycling jersy even in the high temps of summer. If you want more members to join this site, you should also evaluate the quality of the lower priced brands. It's like why by Under Armour brand when you can get the same for a 1/3 of the price ? Just my two cents worth !!!
I would normally agree with you but I have noticed that my target dry fit tend to stain and get a funky odors after multiple uses ... not happened to any of my higher end shirts yet!
I'm hoping to have more product deals available to be able offset some of these costs for you! You definitely get what you pay for in my mind!
I'd like to agree with proponents of Target-wear too but they really don't perform the same as some of my textured, high-end Nike shirts.
I sweat like a horse and the less expensive polyester athletic shirts stick to me like Saran wrap after 8 miles. The better shirts I have don't do that, keep the moisture OFF me longer and stay drier. You do get what you're willing pay for.
My secret: birthday or Christmas presents. Ho, ho, ho!!
I agree with the price comments. I use these Shirts for travel aswell. They are great under a sweatshirt or light jacket on long flights. Champion sports has a nice plain shirt for 15-18$. I buy 1-2/yr and wear them out.
I have received a few promotional (freebie) shirts from a company called "Insport" and they're exceptional. The ones I got have X-Static in them (not totally sold on that technology) but the shirt was great.
Since you are asking for our $0.02 worth. I'm an employee of REI and honestly think our REI OXT stuff is great and reasonably priced compared to brands like Under Armour, et al.
And, I've noticed REI is an advertiser here at MMF.. So, why not include their gear?
The OXT Tech Tee retails for $22.00 (But as a member of REI Co-op, you get 8-10% back in your dividend check).
Sorry for the blatant plug. But, you asked for our input... ;-)
Bought Starter T's at Walmart for $5. They work great and wick alright, not as good as the other Coolmax shirts but good enough and are comfortable too.
