Help!: [Sink] How to properly end a route

Being new and all - I created a route - using the new mapping tool - and with autorouting and it's prereqs selected.  The route had a leg - then a loop - then it need to retrace the leg.  Everything went fine - until I got back to the leg - the pointer refused to let me retrace the leg and end the route.   I tried using 'loop' but did not get the autorouting or notes and the line was just a straight line - not following the route.  I tried looking up how to end the route - but none of the videos - which are all for the previous mapping tool - showed how to do that.  I tried searching the discussion forum for 'end' and got nothing.  This was my first go - something that should have been so simple - I have failed at 3 times.  Any pointers greatly appreciated.  I just want to cleanly end the route - with the directions covering all the turns - and the lines sticking to the roads - and a nice 'end' marker to finish - if that is possible.  Thanks for any help offered.  /h

This response from Eblast in the discussion "Reverse Route" worked for me. "... You need to make sure that you're not clicking on the same line. Zoom in and click right next to the red line, but NOT on it."
