Runner's Forum: Chicago in November

i will be in Chicago for a few days in November (17th and 18th).  I am looking for a 5K or 5M road race in the area.  I am staying by O'Hare and will more than likely not have a car.   Anything I can get to by mass transit that will be in the morning.  If not any good running routes.  I know that along the lakeshore it is nice, but will the wind be a problem late in November?
