After speaking with Disney, we have been assigned to the Mile 2 water stop. Our duties will be setting up, distributing and cleaning up both water & Powerade to up to 10,000 runners as they enter Epcot. The shift is from 3 AM to 9 AM on Sunday, Jan. 11th and you will receive one piece of Marathon Weekend ‘apparel’ (It has always been a light windbreaker), lunch, and a 1-day, 1-park ticket upon completion of the shift. More information about water stop duties can be found on pages 6-7 of the handbook located at http://adisneyworldsports.disney.go.com/media/dwws_v0220/en_US/pdf/VolunteerRolesMarathon.pdf. This should be a lot of fun and you will be playing an important part of a very important day for the up to 18,000 runners participating in this event. If you would like to participate, please send me your name, phone number, E-Mail address (for updates) and mailing address (you will receive credentials in the mail that you need to turn in at the Health and Fitness Expo before the race) by Saturday, Nov. 22nd. If you have any other questions, please let me know. If you think anyone else would be interested, please send this message along. I hope to see you all there!David Butlerdavid.butler@universalorlando.com----terribleusernameGO UO Group AdministratorMapMyRunClick here to read our extensive privacy policy..._________________________________________________________________Color coding for safety: Windows Live Hotmail alerts you to suspicious email.http://windowslive.com/Explore/Hotmail?ocid=TXT_TAGLM_WL_hotmail_acq_safety_112008

Alrighty....  It seems I'm moving towards a groove!  It's taken me a several weeks to get there.......But I'm there.  If your interested in running in the mornings I've been starting around 6:45 to 7am.  Tuesdays and Thursdays.   Feel free to contact me with my work address. (John McKinney) Keep up the miles, it's tough but a base now will go a long way in the cooler months ahead.  So it does get easier!!

Hello every one, I've not meet all of you, but look forward to doing so. I've been absent from the scene due to a project. But soon I will be back trying...Trying to get back into a routine. This would be running from the YMCA on I-Drive Tuesday & Thursday mornings. It's a early start that would begin around 6:30 - 6:45 am. It is light out at this time. The routes I can map later if anyone is interested. I have two that I do depending on time. A 3 mile out and back and a 5 mile. 3 mile: starts at the Y and heads south on I-drive. U turn around at the Crosswalk to the newer convention center on the back leg you can add the little loop around Amigo's. 5 miler: same start when you get to the crosswalk, U go up and over and around the CC with the loop around Amigo's back to the Y. I'll post again when I start if I see interest. GREAT TIME TO WEAR THE GO UO SHIRTS!!!!!!!!!!!!! Until then PACE yourself........ JaM
