Salomon RunningMapMyFitness Mappers,

September was another great month for MapMyFitness and we have been busy with some major improvements for you. First, there are new Community Groups (see screenshot below) that allow you and your friends, training partners, co-club members, etc. to better share routes, have your own private forums, calendars, and more. Second, we have modified the Event Section with more valuable options at no cost. Finally, we have added better support for international users by adding more customization options to your My Profile section.

Community Groups (see screenshot below) are our newest addition to the MapMyFitness feature mix. They allow you to create private groups for you and your friends or training partners. They can also be used by clubs, stores, and coaches to have a public presence on our site with discussion forums, shared routes, a calendar of events, and other features coming soon such as integrated photo galleries, training summaries, and leaderboards Check Community Groups out!

Groups ScreenshotWe've also decided to change around how we are managing our Event Listings . Based on your feedback, we are now allowing ALL Events to be posted for FREE! Are you a Race Director? Share your course with our community! Are you a race participant with a favorite event? Post the event in our system for our other users! Learn about the benefits of posting your event here...

We have also done a lot of work adding new features for our international users. Check out your My Profile page to learn how you can customize date formats, calendar views, and even the units you use to measure your workouts!

A new "Hybrid Unit" has also been created to allow our users who prefer kilometers for distance but like feet / lbs to measure their body type! Customize your settings now...
