2ND Annual Gobbler 5K Run and Family Fun Walk

Medford, N.J….YMCA Camp Ockanickon, Inc. will once again be the setting for the 2nd Annual Gobbler 5K Run and Family Fun Walk. What a great way to work off that holiday feast while supporting a great cause, the Strong Kids Scholarship Campaign. The excitement is already building to see which runner will have the overall winning time and receive the coveted “Mighty Pilgrim of the Pines Award.” So, whether you’re an Olympic Runner or want to take the family for a walk, there are prizes and fun for everyone.

Last year’s Run and Fun Walk attracted over one hundred participants and this year’s is shaping up to be even bigger as word has spread of this interesting opportunity for a run in the pines. While competing for the bragging rights of the “Mighty Pilgrim of the Pines Award,” you will also be helping the Strong Kids Scholarship Campaign. Your support will directly give a child in need the chance to experience YMCA Camp Ockanickon, Camp Matollionequay, or Lake Stockwell Day summer camps and grow in ways he or she never imagined. Our children are our future and we’re proud to have you as a partner as we build strong kids, strong families and strong communities. Open your heart. Touch the life of a child.

The Gobbler Run is a 5K run for individuals and teams. The course is through the gorgeous trails around the beautiful lakes of Camp Ockanickon. The highlight of the Gobbler Run will be the Mighty Pilgrim of the Pines Team Challenge. We are challenging all local groups, organizations and businesses to participate by entering a four person team. Enter as many teams as you would like. The winning combined team time will win the, soon to be coveted, “Mighty Pilgrim Challenge Gravy Bowl Trophy.”

There will be prizes for the top three places in each category. All participants will receive a commemorative Gobbler Run T-shirt and free refreshments.

FIVE K RUN
Pre-registration fees are: Teams - $60.00 (4 people)
Individuals - $20.00
Registration after Nov. 21: Teams - $80.00 (4 people)
Individuals - $25.00

ONE MILE WALK
Registration fees are: $15 adults
Family (living at same address) - $30.00
Children 3 and Under – No charge

If you do not want to race but would like to take a walk in the Pines and enjoy the fresh air, you, your friends and family can participate in the Family Fun Walk. Besides a great walk you will be helping the Strong Kids Scholarship Campaign.
We also offer a great opportunity for sponsorship including shirt logo, sign and table top space package. What a great way to let the community know about you!
$100 – Shirt sponsor (name and logo on shirt)
$250 – Food and Beverage Sponsor (name and logo on shirt, signage on day of event)
$500 – Awards Sponsor (name and logo on shirt, signage day of event and a table
for your organizational display)
Folks are also invited to come out and watch and cheer on their favorite team or individual.
