Brief Description

This 4th Annual 5K run/1 mile walk to raise awareness for melanoma research has become a great success since its inception in 2006. Individuals and Teams are encouraged to register. Tee-shirts, fundraising prizes, awards to top individuals and teams, survivor awards, raffles! The Foundation for Melanoma Research is dedicated to raising awareness about melanoma and funding research into increased prevention, early detection, and new treatments. THIRD ANNUAL 5K RUN / 1 MILE WALK
The Noreen O'Neill Foundation for Melanoma Research (FMR) was founded in 1999 by Noreen O'Neill after being diagnosed with malignant melanoma. The Noreen O'Neill Foundation for Melanoma Research is a non-profit organization dedicated to raising awareness and funding melanoma research. Historically, this is the first time the famous Wachovia Complex has been used as a route for a run. The Wachovia Complex contains both the Wachovia Spectrum and The Wachovia Center.

The First Annual Running for Cover Run/Walk raised over $40,000 for Melanoma research in June 2006. Find out how runners and walkers gathered to raise awareness for melanoma research, celebrate survivors and honor loved ones who lost their battle with melanoma. This year's Running for Cover is Sunday June 28, 2009
