Brief Description

The race begins at the Wilbur & McMahon School using the same 4.8 mile scenic course as in previous years as well as during the familiar and wildly popular summer series. Proceeds from this event will benefit the Little Compton Education and the students of Wilbur & McMahon School. The race is officially sanctioned and blessed by the USATF. Warm soups from some of the best local recipes in the area will be served in the Wilbur & McMahon School gymnasium following the race.

Little Compton Scenic Winter Road Race   Little Compton - The Little Compton Education Foundation will be hosting the 4.8 mile Scenic Winter Road Race on Saturday January 5th, 2008 at 10 am. The race will start and end at the Wilbur & McMahon School on the Commons.   The race is officially sanctioned by USA Track and Field (USATF) and will follow the same 4.8 mile course as the popular summer road race - measured by Ray Nelson.   All proceeds will benefit the Little Compton Education Foundation and the students of the Wilbur & McMahon School. Cash prizes will be awarded to the top three men and women racers. The top three in each age group category will get stuff too!
