About:: 2012 is a 3rd edition of this race (the world’s highest altitude Ultra-Marathon). The race crosses over the highest motor-able mountain pass in the world, Khardung La (17,700 ft). It then travels back down into the scenic town of Leh (11,000 ft) then up into the second highest pass, Tanglang La (17,583 ft) and race finishes in the serene Morey Plains. * Temperatures between 104F (40C) to 21F (-6C) * Oxygen content of air at some stages: 40% of what it is sea level
