When trying to print a route, one has the option to print directions with the map. Most of our routes print with incomplete directions or none at all. How can this be fixed?

    Hi Chris-

In order for the directions to be automatically included in your route, you need to plot with the "follow roads" option enabled under "map settings".  You may also manually add any directions or notes you like by clicking your route points while creating or editing you route, and adding/modifying your notes/directions there.

    I hope  this helps.

The directions generated by following roads are quite good in my experience.

When I print the map, profile, and directions, I have the option to include/exclude the profile and the directions. It would be nice to have this option for the map. The map is big, and sometimes I'd just like the directions (or the profile and the directions).

Also, incremental distances on the directions are a must; I assume that's in the queue.

    Thanks,

    Steve

I must be doing something wrong because I don't get the option to print the directions for my maps.  I would really like to be able to have the directions printed, can someone show me how to do this?

Here is one of the maps I have created:

We stay on the roads the entire route so that should not be a problem.

Thanks in advance for your help!

I suspect the problem is that first you have to have directions by entering them yourself or having them generated by creating your route in "follow the roads" mode.

I ALWAYS use follow the roads mode (except the little off road bits).

Thanks Steve, I think my problem is that I mapped my route but did not put enough "turning" points on the map so the program did not know what to do.  If I am staying a Main Street and Main street curves a little, I did not take that into account.  The program drew a straight line instead of following the road so the program "got lost" on my map.  I guess I need to start over.  I tried to edit the map but that has been a real pain.

I created a route and saved it anonymously. After registering and copying the route to my profile, the automatically generated marker notes/turn directions are no longer there! When I originally created the route I had "Follow Roads" checked, and when I copied and saved it, it was off by default, but I checked it before saving. Now it just prints Start and Stop with no turn directions! How do I get them back? Thanks for your help.

I would just use the anonymous one, but I want to make a slight change.

    Thank you.

    Jacob
