Another very warm day with a west wind, so the third and final leg of the North Berwick walk. Bus to Aberlady, then walk along to the wooden bridge into Aberlady Nature Reserve. North through grassland to Gullane Point, encountering an amazing variety of wildlife, including common blue butterflies, six-spot burnett moths, a dragonfly and a peregrine falcon! The tide was out, so onto the sand and east along the beach below Gullane, north-east past the dunes at Black Rocks to Eyebroughy Point. Turned east, scrambling over rocks south of Fidra, then eventually back onto the sand past Yellow Craig, and finally to North Berwick, with views of the Bass Rock and the Law. A well deserved sandwich and ice-cream, before boarding the bus back to Edinburgh. Legs a bit burnt by the sun - always respect the heat of the summer sun!
