This is out of the campsite at the start, and onto very quite single track lanes. Up hill for a mile with great views all the way, once at the 1st cross roads the level flattens, and your running on lanes sheltered by hedge rows. You head up hill again before entering Rhiw, then turn towards the sea (passing disused mines that date back to the Bronze age and a stunning beach cove that can be accessed by wooden steps) and head back along the coastal path that skirts the cliffs, spectacular undulating run. The finale is a scramble down the cliffs and onto the beach for the final 1/2 mile. This is a fairly arduous run as there are places where the path is on a camber and over grown, the final down hill/cliff scramble can be missed out as there are several paths down to the beach. Aberdaron is a stunning village.
