Bike Ride Description
Great 25 miles of climbing from Lyons to point #25 on the map. Then, @ 7 mile downhill screamer into Estes, a 3 mile climb out of Estes and a good 10 miles back to Lyons. 3.5 hours for avg rider. There are bathrooms and water at the Visitors center in Estes Park, right next to the Estes Hydro generators. Start at the park across from the Black Bear Inn just as you enter the town of Lyons(from the East)

i've heard that 36 from lyons to estes is kinda hairy. is that true? i don't mind riding on high traffic roads (i spent 4 years as a bike messenger in philly) so i think maybe the person that told me that might be a little fraidy cat. any though
