- Begins in:
- Port Angeles East, WA, United States
- Created By:
- 5th leg of the North Olympic Discovery Marathon Relay. Right at mile 22, the course crosses Morse Creek on a beautifully restored and converted railroad trestle, and the temperature cools down considerably. There is about a half-mile jaunt toward the Strait of Juan de Fuca, and from there to the finish the course runs along the breathtaking (and invigorating) waterfront. With a half-mile towards the finish, the course passes Francis Park, and that’s when you can start to see the finish. Kick it up from here, and you finish right at the Port Angeles City Pier with glory! Start is at the 4th Exchange Zone at Deer Park Rest Area. Finish is at the race finish line at Port Angeles City Pier. This is miles 21.2-26.2 of the marathon course.
