BCS Ride: Best Bang for the Buck Road Loop
This is a great go to ride when your time is limited and you want to get in some good climbing. A nice warm up from the shop along route 36 brings you to Left Hand Canyon for a gradual climb towards Jamestown. If time allows you can ride to Jamestown and turn around at the first town stop sign (there is a general store in Jamestown if you need food or drink), then head back down the way you came up and go to the Ward/Jamestown split. At the split, turn right and get back on to Left Hand Canyon heading towards Lee Hill as the map route shows. Take the left onto Lee Hill. This is a very steep climb, but relatively short. A top rider can get to the Deer Trail junction in about 7 minutes. A steep, twisty descent will bring you down to the Old Stage/Lee Hill junction and then, if you still have time, take a quick right onto Wagon Wheel, then turn left on to Bow Mountain Rd. Bow Mountain is a steep dirt road, but is a great way to get in once last effort before you hit the descent on Linden and back to the flatlands! A fast time on this loop would be about 1 hour and 30 minutes. - a 21.8 mi cycling route in Boulder, Colorado
