Description of this Bike Ride

Starting at Mountain View City Hall, the route loops around Alviso then heads back. Leveraging bike lanes, Stevens Creek Trail, Hetch Hetchy Trail, Bay Trail and San Tomas Aquino trails. Alviso is an interesting old town, one of the few places you can still hear a rooster crowing in the morning. Maria Elena's Taqueria (Gold St near Taylor) is pretty good. Definately an early morning weekend ride. Los Esteros has no shoulder and would be difficult with a lot of traffic. Plenty of coffee shops and restaurants on Castro St for before and after ride refreshments. Also plenty of free parking nearby.
