Description of this Run

This is a variation on my previous hill trail run -the 39 steps. Only i have added in the opportunity to do a bit more climbing...what fun.\n\nYou will see from the gradient profile that all the climbing is done in the first 2.5 miles with a nice 7/8% gradient between 0.5 mile & 1 mile (up the steps) and an 8% between 1.75 mile and around 2.\n\nThis extra bit of hill is on a loop, which means i have a couple of miles to the normal run, again bringing you down to the Crinan canal.\n\nThe run was done in snow and ice conditions and was great fun. However, I know that the cold spell has resulted in a lot of frost heaving so the path in places is quite rough and uneven. But with care you should have no problem.\n\nThe route is all off road and until you get to the canal you are unlikely to see anyone.\n\nThis extra loop i have discovered - means there is now further opportunities to run different ciruits of various lengths or like last week cycle on your MTB!.
