SeaTac/Des Moines Trail
This run starts off in a parking lot across the street from Tyee Valley Golf Course. The first half of the trail is on a paved path through the woods; it is a beautiful spot, and very peaceful when there is not a plane flying overhead! If you can make it past the treatment plant (the smell can be a bit much sometimes, but it motivates me to run faster! This is also the only real hill in the run), the trail turns to gravel and is quite flat for a while (though you are still running in the trees) before opening up into the parking lot of Des Moines Creek Park. I generally sprint to the end of the pier and take a quick 3-minute breather to stretch before turning around and heading back. From parking lot to pier end, the run is almost exactly 5 miles. This is a relatively unpopulated trail, I think the most people I have seen on it in an entire day is 9. The planes flying overhead every few minutes can be a bit annoying, but usually I have my iPod cranked enough that they don\'t bother me. Great run overall, I would highly recommend it! - a 2.5 mi running route in Seatac/des Moines, Washington
