Run Description
Mixed on & off road route. Start at Upper Basildon Village Hall. You could stay on Park Wall lane down to Lower Basildon but I prefer the off road option. The footpath along the river is grassy to start but can be muddy towards the Pangbourne end. The footpath ends at a small car park where you cross the road and go under the railway line. The footpath uphill back up to Upper Basildon is one of the best ways back to the village, in my opinion. At the top, the route back along the Pangbourne road is a bit dull and there is an option to drop down to the Pangbourne college grounds and back up Gardeners Lane. This obviously makes it a bit longer and adds an extra hill.
