Run Description
The 2008 marathon course is similar to last year\\'s course, with the following exceptions:\
\
Due to the extensive construction near the Ambassador Bridge (Gateway Project), we will use Fort St to get to the bridge entrance. We can\\'t use Bagley St. through Mexicantown this year. The route through the temporary toll plaza will be tight, so we ask for your patience. To make up for the shorter distance to the bridge, we\\'ve added to the route in Corktown by going down the residential streets of Leverette and Labrosse. Near Mile 15, we will feature a section of the newly constructed Detroit RiverWalk (between Jos Campau and Mt. Elliott. Finally, we\\'ve made some changes at the very end of the race in downtown., using Lafayette Blvd instead of Monroe St. through Greektown, and up Randolph to Broadway (instead of Farmer) before heading home to the finish on Woodward, near Campus Martius Park. \
\
The mile markers on this map, taken from satellite photos, may vary slightly from the USATF certification measurements on the ground (This is the final course). I suggest that you use the \\"hybrid\\" style map to best view the features of the course. \
\
Enjoy! \
