Run Description
Course starts on Bryon Rd off of Old Keene Mill. There is a church parking lot but I'm not sure what their towing policy is--I parked on the street to be safe. Bryon Park has "no parking" signs. Run down the road into the park, and after you pass the ball fields cross over to the left side of the park. The entrance to the Accotink Stream Valley trail is along the left side of the park. Distance through the park is approximate because the path does a lot meandering before it exits at the parking lot for Lake Accotink park by the railroad trestle. The trail through the park is treachous with lots of rocks covered by falling leaves, so tread carefully. But it is breathtaking during foliage season and fun to run, with lots of little hills, twists and turns. I had to stop several times to take in the views because it was so beautiful!
