As we ran 1.2 miles in gym class, people sweated, naturally, and the smell ratcheted up.  It is possible that many people don't wash their assigned gym shirt on a regular basis, creating a smell that no AXE can cure.  Even though most of my classmates walk the mile, the smell was horrible and it carried into the locker room.
