- Through a manufactured, souless city over to a paved trail that goes through a tunnel and then continues to run along a freeway. It then runs along the tip of the Ronnie Reagan International airport. While running along this point, don't freak out when the cannon or gun goes off. They're must be trying to scare the birds or tourists away. The trail continues to run out to the Potomac River which serves as the Virginia and D.C. border. To your left, across the Potomac, you can see the Washington Monument as well as the Capital Building. You then continue on past a bench on the right side, which is apparently a hot make-out spot. One of the really cool features is that just to your left are a couple of lengths of football fields. What's so cool about that? Oh just the part where airplanes come zipping in just and I mean just, above the last set of goalposts. I'm not kidding. I saw major sized airplanes clearing the goalposts bt about 20 feet and that ain't nuttin! Proceed to the marker that says mile 15 and turn back from whence you came.
