This is a good bail-out option for trail runners who just can't bring themselves to run roads but don't want to run trails in the dark. It's a very light gravel, almost "natural" surface. There are some campus driveway crossings as well. Heavily used in nicer weather and mostly lit. Pretty flat and good for speed work.
