- Nice, lunchtime four miler. Today's weather was pleasant; warm at 89 degrees, cooled to 86 thanks to a soft breeze. The first mile or two were a joy as it's been a good week since my last run - talk about endorphin withdrawal! Miles three and four were engaging as the old hip pain surfaced and my stomach started churning. Considering the "zen" of running, I considered the importance of staying "present," in the moment, for the ultimate experience. I was able to run gently over chipseal asphalt, a rocky dirt lot, and broken glass. Ommm...!
