Although I had always run a little I started running seriously Memorial Day 1994. After running 3 miles a day for 3 years I added on miles to work up to a marathon. After a few of those I was sold. I completed running a marathon in all 50 states in 2005. I have completed quite a few triathlons (including ironman) and quite a few 200K breves. I love training. I am not fast at any of my events, but just plod through and have a great time. I love the people you meet, the things you see, the places you get to go, the conversations you have and just being outside. I started running because I wanted to live a healthy life and do things that I had control over health wise. What I found is there is so much more to gain. Anyone who sets their mind to a goal of running can achieve it. I encourage anyone reading this to go for it!
