I started running back in 2003 in order to lose weight. Today, I still run to stay in shape, I spin at the gym, go for weekly bike rides and try to walk my dog Luna in between all that. She's a pug and can't take much more than that. Now I have added motivation to run longer and faster. Our Long Road Team will be participating in the Wild West Relay and I want to be able to run 5 miles at a 9 minute pace, and up to 8 miles at a 9:30 pace. More goals - I'd like to run 10 miles in one go by the end of the year, keep up with my husband during one of his short fast runs, and continue running with my sister, who has become an inspiration. I am really excited about seeing all my teammates train and improve over the course of the summer and ultimately at the relay race!
