Pleasant Grove, Utah

I am now training for a marathon. This all started when I saw pictures of myself last summer on vacation. I didn't look how I felt. I saw extra flabbiness and didn't like what I saw. I had always been fit through high school, and was I always running, whether it was for football conditioning, track, or recreational volleyball. So I decided to lose weight. With the help of running and counting calories, which was a huge help, I have lost 25 pounds, and look like I'm 26 again.

Details

Hometown: Pleasant Grove
Hobbies: I play the French Horn, was in the Mormon Symphony for 4 years with my wife before the group was disbanded and re-organized as the Orchestra at Temple Square. I love telescopes! I have plans to build my own telescope. I would love to eventually have a big wood shop and build nice cabinetry, beds, and other stuff.
Gender: M
Strengths: Creativity, dreaming up big things in my head and actually getting them finished. My best example of this is when my wife decided to make a quilt for my brother in-law. She wanted to just get the team colors of his favorite basketball team, and tie a simple square pattern for a nice lap quilt. Well, my mind went berserk and decided to kick the whole project up a notch. I went to the Timberwolves website, got the logo, printed it off, went to the library, borrowed an opaque projector, made a quilt sized copy, cut out each piece as a pattern, went to the quilt store and picked out material that best matched the colors of the logo regardless of what type of material it was, which made it very hard because everything ended up being a knit which makes the applique process very difficult, and appliqued the logo on, tied it and had it ready for Christmas. It took about 18-20 hours to get the whole thing done, but it looked great.
