I'm 19, an incoming sophomore at Ithaca College in Ithaca, New York. I'm a creative writing major and compete in cross country and track. I love running and am determined to become the best I can be, despite my mediocre talent, with lots of hard work and smart, scientific training. I'd actually like to be a running coach, but my background and field isn't necessarily leading in that direction.

Profile

I started as a road cyclist at age 12, racing until age 15 until I fully dedicated myself fully to running. In 8th grade I ran 2:17 for the 800 and 5:17 for the 1600...but high school didn't go as well as I'd planned. My PRs after high school were 2:02 for the 800, 4:39.5 for the 1600, 10:06 for the 3200, and 15:59 for three miles. My college best for 5k on the track is 16:17. I ran a half marathon last summer for the hell of it in 1:21:20, but I could probably go faster if I trained for it. Oh well. I'm continuously building and expanding my mileage and paces to be the best I can as a senior. After college I want to run at least one fast marathon before giving up on competitive running.
