Step 2: Register!

What is a virtual half marathon? Virtual means you can participate in your own backyard on your own course with or without friends! After you complete your own 13.1 mile course, you can see how you would have done versus thousands of other running the live event!

Step 3: Map Out Your Own Route on MapMyRun.com

Map a 13.1-mile route on MapMyRun.com by pointing-and-clicking where you want to run. After you map out your planned course, you can share the map with friends, print it out with cue sheets, or even upload it to your Garmin or iPhone.

Step 4: Set your own Race Date!

All virtual participants must complete their run between 12pm EST on July 1 and 12pm EST on July 19th, 2009 to have their results officially counted.

Step 5: Run your Race & Upload Results and Photos!

Upload your race results and photos between 12pm EST on July 14 and 12pm EST on July 19, 2009 (one extra day after virtual event deadline) using your iPhone, Garmin, Timex, Nike+, or Polar devices before the deadline.

Return back to the Napa to Sonoma Half Marathon website and view how your results compared to all the other finishers -- Virtual and Live!
