Hammocks Lake Run
This is a great great run around the Hammocks Lake in West Kendall along the nice asphalted & wide walk/run path. You can start at any of the entrances to the Lake since it is a nice, almost flat, 6 mile run. There are two water stops in the route, at opposite ends where you can cool off or drink water from. This is very important in the hot Miami weather. The only tricky area is when you have to go on the back of the West Kendall Mall-Library and enter again through the baseball field of Hammocks Middle. But if you follow the route you will see that is not difficult and is just one of the two street crossings of the whole run. Hammocks Community has its own security so you cross the security vehicles around the lake. They are friendly and corteous and move to the grass as you pass. We wave to them, so do it too!
