Potters Arf Training Run Half Marathon
This training run is almost an exact replica of the Potters \'Arf Marathon. The only difference is that the route does not go through the centre of Hanley as it is just too busy for running and goes around the ring road instead. I have started this route at Central Forest Park as it is free to park here instead of Parking in the city centre, but this route can be started and finished from anywhere. There are some busy roads to cross so care is needed at these points, however the route can be done almost exclusively on pavements. The hills to look out for are Anchor Road at 4.75 miles on the map, Leek New Road is a bit of a drag at 11.5 miles, and the sting in the tail is definately Milton Road at 12.3 miles (I\'ve known very good runners to walk up here).\nHope you enjoy it.\nTry it on a Sunday Morning when there is less traffic about. :-) - a 13.2 mi running route in Stoke-on-trent, the United Kingdom
