Take Heart 10K

The 10K begins with a short loop near the starting line, running south on McElroy Road, passing the historic Bonnie and Clyde Cottage, before running back north again on the Service Road. From there, 10K athletes will start their northeasterly journey around the larger McElroy Road loop. After touring the lakeside Glamping area, runners will exit The Boulders's property and run towards FM 848, turnaround at the designated point, and run back. After a second brief out-and-back McElroy branch, runners will reenter campus and continue conquering the larger McElroy loop. Before crossing the finish line, 10K runners can enjoy a weaving path near the water's edge, touring popular lakefront camp sites and attractions. A final lap through "Arrowhead" and a straightaway back intoand through the finish arch completes the course.
