Hi guys.

Getting ready to do my very first hill repeats workout in two days, and I haven't located a good hill, inclined enough and long enough, not on a very high traffic road that I can do this on. I don't know if a trail hill would be good for my first time, and I know I can do it on the Treadmill but if possible would like to do it on a real hill. Anyone has found such a hill around town?

I don't plan my weekend routes - and it makes it much more interesting.

I run for 45 mins to an hour, then turn around, and run back - just running wherever I feel like, take this turn, take that turn - explore a new place...

What could be simpler?

It keeps me focused, it makes it less boring, and it improves my memory :o) + I get to learn lots about the area where I live - and sometimes I go for a walk or cycle another day, with my wife, along some of the scenic routes I have found.

I'll be in Annapolis for Memorial Day weekend and would love to try and get a run in, since if I don't it will be four days without a run and that might kill me!

I think I'll be in the downtown area (we'll be on a boat, not sure where the marina is, but the owners walk into town every day...and my memory of Annapolis is that it isn't that big).

Hello,

I am a moving to vegas in a few weeks and i have recently become fascinated with the challenge of running. I never liked running before but since i started working out more consistently and taking a bootcamp class that focuses on running i have become slightly addicted to it.

I ran my first 5k race a month ago and i liked the challenge once again. Now i am trying to find some areas in vegas to run and also possibly a running club.

Hi All,

First time poster, casual user.

I've decided to map my walk to work - 5 miles of rural lanes. I can obvoiusly put in my start time and duration to my workout but can i put in timing points so i can assess my split times on sections?

I hope this is clear, i'm not into running (yet) and not sure if the terminology is correct.

Thanks in advance

One I'm considering is Anini Beach Road. Can anyone offer any feedback on this route or any other location they think would be great. Thanks!!

Every single route I have mapped has incorrect mileage, specifically too high. If we get a certified 5 mile route,MapMyRun will compute it as 5.4 or thereabouts. Is the correct conversion factor for North America being used? Typically converting long/slats will create incorrect mileage when the wrong factors are used. I have mapped for years and seen this type of thing happen with incorrect software or wrong flattening projection methods. Maybe it is as simple as making a comparison ratio between actual and MapMyRun results and averaging the results.

Hi folks, I am new to the website just today and I'm finding it really valuable. I was curious if there was a way to view/edit another user's route. Let me explain...

We have a beautiful lake in our immediate area that I think other's must have mapped using a GPS because you cannot see the sidewalks in the satellite view because of the trees. I wanted to just see the route around the Lake, but no one has done that. Then, add to that my jog from my home to the lake.

Is there any way to do that?

Thanks!
