I would like to start a running club in Eastern CT and want to see if there is anyone interested.  All running levels are welcome.  I always see lots of people running on the rail trail from Manchester to Willimantic.  I also see lots of runs mapped out in the area.  If you would like to join a group that will be for running, socializing, training, motivation, teamwork, and competition respond here.  I look forward to running with you.  I will set up a weekly run after I get a few people interested.  Thanks.

The Willimantic Athletic Club and Silk City Striders are both active in that area, you may want to start there. I know the Silk City Striders are a good group and have regular runs in that area.

thanks for the information.  I had no idea these groups existed.  They look like great places.  I was looking for something that would be free for people to join and to come and go as they please.  Membership fees are always a turnoff for me regardless of what benefits they offer.

There are also some active informal groups in the Colchester Hebron area. One gentleman manages the Colchester 1/2 Marathon.  I can try to dig up his info if you are interested.
