Lots of articles in the news lately on the "shoeless" shoes that are supposed to be like running barefoot.  These are the shoes that basically have no padding but have a layer to protect your feet.  The toes look a little bit like a toe glove.

I'm skeptical but that's because I've always run on running shoes.

     Anyone here tried these?

I tried the vibram five finger sprint once and loved it.  I'm holding out for the new KSO Trek version because it has tread.  The big caveat for running barefoot is that you can't run like you do when you're wearing cushioned shoes.  Read up on technique before you go out.

I have the sprints as well and love them. I've done about 40-50k in them and weight train in them as well. Because you are a runner you'll want to start out with your normal distance runs. Don't! Start with a jog around the block. My feet took a while to get used to not having a splint around them and the muscles fatigue quickly and it really hurts. I do about 7k now with no pain. I also alternate my runs so every second is in the FF too.
