I own a running store (of course I think that we offer service and pricing second to none!). Here's the poop on the Brooks Adrenaline GTS (our best selling shoe).
The Adrenaline GTS is a moderate stability shoe which means that it's well suited for the "average" foot type and offers a nice blend of cushioning and stability in a fit/shape that works well for many people.
The biggest difference between the GTS-6 (2006 version) and the GTS-7 (2007 version) is that the GTS- 7 introduced MoGo which is Brooks newest midsole material and is lighter, more durable, less tear resistant, less effected by temperature change, etc. The GTS-8 was introduced in January 2008 and as a previous poster mentioned was a pretty minor change with focus on improved fit of the upper.
Other shoes in this moderate stability category include the Asics GT-2130, Mizuno Inspire, Saucony Guide, New Balance 768. Higher end models (usually more cushioning, better upper, etc.) in this category include the Brooks Trance, Asics Kayano, Mizuno Nirvana, Saucony Hurricane, New Balance 1223.
