I am sure there are plenty of people out there with acute/chronic
injury care questions, and there should be a specific Category for
this. I am not a doctor, nor did i stay at a Holiday Inn Express, but I
have extensive professional and personal experience in this matter;
both clinical and athletic settings (amateur, ncaa, and pro). I am
sure there are others on the Boards willing to contribute as well. My
credentials are available upon request.

I would be honored to be a major contributor to this topic, and make myself fully available.

Okay, since you offered....I have an issue. 3 months ago I severly sprained one ankle and broke the other ankle (fractured my tibia). I opted not to have surgery and have been stuck in a fracture boot. I've got a couple more weeks in the thing and then it's time for rehab! I'm ready too!! So, if anyone has advice or suggestions or knows where I can find information on a speedy recovery, I would greatly appreciate it. I was doing really good about running and biking on a regular basis beforehand; this was a major set back for a lot of my fitness goals. I have started swimming in order to get back into some kind of shape, it's just not the same as running! And I miss it! So, the faster I can get back to running, the happier I will be. Any help would be awesome! Thanks!

Last year I had a severe stress fracture. I let it heal completely and started to run again about 6 months after the injury. Now that I'm trying to get back into running and training (usually 4 miles about 5 days a week)I'm nervous that I'll reinjure it. Sometimes when I run I can feel a slight pain where the break was but nothing unbearable. I was wondering if I should be concerned, is that pain always going to be there, etc.? Thanks!
